Through a kind invitation, FGS Agri staff have been lucky enough to be given a rare opportunity to visit the Big Cat Sanctuary as a thank you for the support given to the charity.
Set in a beautiful, 32 acre site near Smarden, Kent the Big Cat Sanctuary provides excellent conditions for the successful breeding of the beautiful, yet endangered cats both large and small within the European Endangered Species Breeding Programme. In order to minimise the disruption to the cats access to the public is limited, however there are specialised experiences including Ranger for the Day, Big Cat Encounters, Photographic Workshops, Overnight Big Cat Safari Experience and Big Cat Adoptions which provide exclusive opportunities to visit the Sanctuary. The site holds over 50 breeds, including: African lions, White lions, Amur leopards, North Chinese leopards, Snow leopards, different Tiger breeds, Cheetah, Lynx, Fishing cats, Jaguars, Pallas cats, Pumas, Rusty Spotted cats, Jungle cats and Servals.
