FGS Agri has vacancies to join the bio-recycling team as an Area Representative who will be responsible for the safe and efficient recycling of sewage sludge to agriculture across the South East. In this role, you will build relationships with customers, arrange sales of bio-solids, co-ordinate the service delivery to completion in conjunction with the wider recycling team. You will be required to monitor stockpile security, plan seasonal workload whilst reaching the objectives of the customers. The key components of the role are:
  • Developing and building relationships with farmers, agronomists and agents, to promote the beneficial use of sewage sludge as a fertiliser replacement which includes providing fertiliser advice, pricing, availability and land suitability.
  • Source land for recycling biosolids, building and maintaining a land bank to sustain the company's recycling requirement for now and the future.
  • Responsible for the sale of recycling sewage sludge to customers in agriculture within a given geographical area and regularly reporting progress to our Utility client in a timely fashion.
  • Undertake risk assessments, mapping, soil sampling whilst at the customers site, recording details electronically for compliance and permit generation plus facilitating future service delivery planning.
  • Coordinate with the broader recycling team to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient management of the recycling operation within contract contractual obligations.
  • Developing and reassessing procedures and work methods to increase working and financial performance.
About you:
  • You will have a current, clean, valid driving licence.
  • An agricultural background with a good knowledge of rural practice is essential, preferably with sales experience in a similar field such as Biosolid Management.
  • You must be confident in canvassing, promoting and committing sales to farmers.
  • You must be organised, flexible and able to manage your own time.
  • Ideally, you will be aware of current agricultural initiatives and legislation, such as the Nitrates Directive and the Biosolids Assurance Scheme.
  • It would be advantageous if you were FACTS or BASIS-trained.

We are currently recruiting for an Administrator at our office in Andover. The role will include but not limited to:
  • Taking work enquiries and booking through calls and emails
  • Recording of bookings, preparing requisites and scheduling work
  • Communicating with customers
  • Sourcing of supplies and services as required for the operation of the business

  • Maintaining and achieving road worthiness of all fleet LGVs and HGVs.
  • Maintaining and upkeep of a variety of agricultural contracting equipment and machinery.

  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions when required.
  • Ability to work within a close team in a family orientated business.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Thames enterprise based in Hampshire/Surrey/Berkshire for a Mobile Mechanic. FGS Agri are an integrated business supplying the needs of the agriculture and utility sector across the Southeast, as part of Heathcote Holdings Group.   • Maintaining and upkeep of a variety of self-propelled machines and agricultural equipment
  • Service, repair and maintenance of a range of machines, including LGV’s.
  • Undertake welding, fabrication, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.
  • Inspection of machinery as necessary, ensuring that repairs are undertaken safely and in line with approved methods.
  • Conducting initial assessment of plant or equipment reported as faulty, identify root cause, and formulate a remedy either as a temporary fix or full-service repair.
Requirements for role:
  • Full Clean driving licence
  • LGV Class 2 licence required.

FGS Agri, a leading agricultural contracting company operating across the South East requires experienced excavator and loading shovel operators to work within our biosolid recycling team.  Additional staff are being sought to join our established team to cover expansion of services operating from either our Andover, Hampshire or Ashford, Kent depots. The role will involve:
  • Loading or moving biosolids within sewage works or in field locations.
  • Undertaking biosolid stockpiling operations, creating clean and tidy storage of material often in field site locations.
  • Performing ad-hoc and often bespoke operations to support the contract requirements such as creating temporary hand standings.
  • From time to time, manual working will be required to assist with client property repairs to ditches, gateways, fencing and tree planting.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections on machinery.
Requirements:
  • Applicants must have a valid driving licence.
  • Excavator / Loading Shovel competency tickets and experience will be an advantage.
  • You should have a flexible approach to work, instructions can change daily with weather conditions.
  • Willing to travel and work variable hours and differing locations across the South East.
