FGS Agri has vacancies to join the bio-recycling team as an Area Representative who will be responsible for the safe and efficient recycling of sewage sludge to agriculture across the South East.
In this role, you will build relationships with customers, arrange sales of bio-solids, co-ordinate the service delivery to completion in conjunction with the wider recycling team.
You will be required to monitor stockpile security, plan seasonal workload whilst reaching the objectives of the customers.

The key components of the role are:

  • Developing and building relationships with farmers, agronomists and agents, to promote the beneficial use of sewage sludge as a fertiliser replacement which includes providing fertiliser advice, pricing, availability and land suitability.
  • Source land for recycling biosolids, building and maintaining a land bank to sustain the company’s recycling requirement for now and the future.
  • Responsible for the sale of recycling sewage sludge to customers in agriculture within a given geographical area and regularly reporting progress to our Utility client in a timely fashion.
  • Undertake risk assessments, mapping, soil sampling whilst at the customers site, recording details electronically for compliance and permit generation plus facilitating future service delivery planning.
  • Coordinate with the broader recycling team to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient management of the recycling operation within contract contractual obligations.
  • Developing and reassessing procedures and work methods to increase working and financial performance.

About you:

  • You will have a current, clean, valid driving licence.
  • An agricultural background with a good knowledge of rural practice is essential, preferably with sales experience in a similar field such as Biosolid Management.
  • You must be confident in canvassing, promoting and committing sales to farmers.
  • You must be organised, flexible and able to manage your own time.
  • Ideally, you will be aware of current agricultural initiatives and legislation, such as the Nitrates Directive and the Biosolids Assurance Scheme.
  • It would be advantageous if you were FACTS or BASIS-trained.
