LGV Transport & Compliance Assistant

We are currently recruiting for an experienced transport and compliance controller to join the team at FGS Agri and would welcome applications for this role.

There are two elements to the position as listed below.


  • To assist the transport manager with the day to day administration and planning of our artic walking floor fleet, as well as manage LGV compliance.
  • Customer service is a business priority. The successful candidate needs to understand the importance of our customer requirements and the ability to transfer these into a reliable service.


  • Administration and support for our fitters and workshops.
  • Control of fleet vehicle inspections and MOT’s including LGV’s.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Good geographical knowledge and understanding of road transport
  • Commercial understanding of LGV operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • People management skills
  • Practical knowledge of driving LGV’s would be an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel

The role is a permanent, full time position Monday to Friday with flexible hours, including some Saturday mornings.

Salary dependent on experience.
