We are pleased to share the completion of improvement works at Pluckley Recreation Ground, a project that has transformed an important community space into a more accessible and enjoyable environment for all ages.
The works included the creation of new circular pathways and the installation of upgraded play equipment. These improvements have significantly enhanced accessibility, helping ensure the recreation ground can be enjoyed by families, children and residents throughout the village.
A true community effort
This project was made possible through the long-standing fundraising efforts and support of FGS Agri. Events such as quiz nights and the Calving Day have played a key role in raising the funds needed to bring the plans to life. Alongside this, teams from FGS Agri and FGS Pilcher contributed their time, machinery and materials to deliver the works on the ground.
The project also benefited from the dedication and hard work of the local community and other supporters, highlighting just how much can be achieved when organisations and residents work together towards a shared goal.
Making a lasting difference
Community-led projects like this demonstrate the positive impact that collaboration and local investment can have. We are proud to have supported the improvements at Pluckley Recreation Ground and to play a part in creating spaces that bring long-term value to local communities.
As one member of the Pluckley fundraising team shared:
“It’s just wonderful to see this project finally happen and we couldn’t have done it without the help from FGS. The new path will make such a difference for everyone in the village.”
