Heathcote Holdings support for KSS reaches £31,586
Heathcote Holdings is proud to continue its support for Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS), with donations from across the Group now reaching an incredible £31,586.
The latest fundraising took place at our Heathcote Holdings Summer BBQ 2026, bringing colleagues from across the Group together for an afternoon of food, activities and fundraising. All funds raised from the event were donated to KSS, a charity close to our hearts.
Our support for KSS has continued year on year, with colleagues across the Group helping to raise funds for a service that plays a vital role in communities throughout Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Putting our contributions into perspective
KSS has shared what the £31,586 donated by Heathcote Holdings to date could help fund, demonstrating the very real impact fundraising can have.
That amount could fund:
34 blood transfusions, administered directly at the scene to patients experiencing life-threatening blood loss.
OR
7 full lifesaving missions, helping KSS bring specialist emergency care directly to people when every second counts.
For everyone who has donated, attended a fundraising event or helped organise activities across Heathcote Holdings, these figures provide a powerful reminder of what that collective support can achieve.
Bringing the emergency room to the scene
KSS operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing advanced pre-hospital emergency care across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Its helicopters bring specialist doctors and paramedics directly to people who are critically ill or injured, with teams able to perform advanced interventions at the scene, including blood transfusions, emergency anaesthesia and, when required, open-heart surgery.
On average, KSS responds to nine life-threatening emergencies every day. In 2024/25 alone, its teams responded to more than 3,100 emergencies.
For the rural communities where many of our colleagues, customers and businesses are based, the ability to bring this level of specialist care directly to a patient can be particularly important.
Continuing our support
It costs KSS approximately £57,000 every day, or £20.8 million a year, to deliver its lifesaving service. Around 91% of its regular income comes from donations, fundraising and gifts in wills, making continued public and community support essential.
