The British farming industry remains crucial to our economy and also to our need for healthy food. Despite the current Coronavirus crisis, we are continuing to support our farming industry by running business as ‘normal.’ Of course, this new normal includes increased hygiene levels, social distancing and remote working but our offering to customers remains the same. We are here to support your agricultural business and are proud of the part we play in keeping fresh produce available locally.
We realise that the breakout of this pandemic has had an unforeseen impact on British farmers. Some have seen an increase in the demand for locally grown fruit and vegetables as well as locally sourced meat, eggs and dairy products. Others have seen their markets disappear overnight with the sudden closure of hotels and restaurants. We have been working hard to support all our local agricultural businesses, in whatever situation they are now in.
FGS Agri and our sister company, FGS Organics, are available to help improve farm efficiencies and consult on the merits of alternative soil management strategies. FGS Agri s is continuing to run our farming support services as normal, our fleet is operational, some of the team are out working on-sites, calls to the office are being answered and emails are being responded to as usual.
Naturally, the health and safety of our staff and customers is of the utmost importance. Those who can work remotely are doing so and in-person meetings have been replaced by online meetings. Staff members who physically need to come to work are diligently following the guidance on cleanliness of the workplace (including office, on-site and in vehicles), social distancing and hand washing. We would like to thank the FGS Agri team for their continued support and hard work at this time.
We remain committed to the farmers keeping this country well fed and will be eternally grateful to the NHS and key workers keeping us safe and healthy.
