FGS Agri undertake environmental services, including the management and re-instatement of contaminated sites.
This job involved the restoration of a site which had been fly tipped with contaminated material containing asbestos.
A specification of works was agreed with the Environment Agency and our client to ensure a quality and compliant finish. It was agreed that the site would be cleared back, with the contaminated area being covered with a geotextile membrane and 450mm of British Standard topsoil. In order to access the site safely with 8 wheeler lorries, FGS Agri also graded and re-instated a farm access track, to ensure safe working conditions.
This site will now be included in the estates tree planting scheme.
