An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Thames enterprise for 3 x 360 Excavator Operators. FGS Agri, part of the Heathcote Holdings group, is an integrated business supplying the needs of the agriculture and utility sector across the South East. The company prides itself on providing solutions to our clients promptly and professionally, whilst continuing to expand within a rapidly moving sector. We are looking to recruit 3 applicants, each to be based at one of the locations below:
  • Basingstoke, Winchester or Andover area
  • Kent or Isle of Sheppey
  • Surrey or Sussex area
These are fixed-term seasonal contracts running from July 2026 to October 2026. The role will involve but not limited to:
  • To load spreaders in accordance with policies, procedures and appropriate training.
  • Receive instructions from Line Manager regarding jobs to be completed and carry them out efficiently in accordance with the law and the best interests of the company.
  • To undertake and perform manual duties from time to time that do not require machinery.
  • Operating equipment safely and competently.
  • This position is a seasonal role only with an anticipated start date of in July 2026 up until the end of October 2026, it will involve long hours but with a good rate of pay.
  • Accommodation can be sourced but will not be provided by the Company.
Requirements:
  • Applicants must have a valid driving licence.
  • Excavator / Loading Shovel competency tickets and experience will be an advantage.
  • You should have a flexible approach to work; instructions can change daily with weather conditions.
  • Willing to travel and work variable hours and differing locations across the South East.
  • Attention to detail in your work is essential as is the ability to follow instructions.
  • Experience in tractor driving is desirable but not essential.

FGS Agri, part of the Heathcote Holdings group, is an integrated business supplying the needs of the agriculture and utility sector across the South East. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Estates Foreman / Supervisor to join our expanding Estates Management team managing a varied portfolio of commercial, industrial, residential and agricultural sites. This is a hands-on role overseeing the maintenance, repair and delivery of small construction projects across operational business sites including warehouses, steel frame and clad buildings, yards, farm buildings, tenanted units and residential properties. The successful candidate will be comfortable working within live commercial environments, coordinating works around tenants, operations and vehicle movements, while ensuring all sites remain safe, compliant and well maintained. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day reactive and planned maintenance across industrial, commercial and rural property assets.
  • Oversee repair and maintenance of steel-framed and clad buildings, roofing systems, drainage, yards, concrete surfaces and external infrastructure.
  •  Lead, mentor and support a small team of employed staff and specialist subcontractors.
  • Plan and manage small construction, refurbishment and improvement projects across operational sites.
  • Liaise with tenants, contractors, suppliers and internal departments to ensure efficient project delivery with minimal operational disruption.
  • Carry out hands-on work as required, setting high standards through example.
  • Manage materials, project budgets and work schedules effectively.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, company procedures and statutory property compliance requirements.
Requirements for role:
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial and industrial building maintenance and repair.
  • Experience working with steel frame structures, cladding systems, roofing, yards, drainage or similar commercial building fabric.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience within a construction, property maintenance or facilities environment.
  • Practical trade background in general building, groundworks, roofing, or similar is highly desirable.
  • Experience coordinating works within tenanted or operational business sites.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and safe systems of work.
  • Capable of working independently, managing priorities and solving problems on site.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

  • Assist with reviewing and updating the Companies’ SHEQ Management Systems including policies and procedures.
  • Review risk assessments for all operations, offices and sites to regulatory and internal standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the management teams; and produce guidance to the company on complying with both statutory and non-statutory requirements.

  • Previous industry experience as a Health & Safety professional, including auditing, risk assessments, COSHH management, and incident investigation
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent qualification)
  • Practical experience/ understanding on operations in agriculture, construction and utilities
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and HSG65 frameworks
  • Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and management systems
  • Strong IT skills to support implementing digital compliance management system
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Auditing experience
  • Understanding operational training requirements
  • Previous experience of working in a highly regulated environment

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Livestock enterprise for a Livestock Assistant to work with a herd of over 200 suckler cows and followers, predominantly Limousin cross Sussex, and assist with the beef finishing of over 400 cattle. FGS Agri, part of the Heathcote Holdings group, is an integrated business supplying the needs of the agriculture and utility sector across the South East.   • To assist in the rearing of 200+ calves annually.
  • To assist with livestock husbandry of a 200+ strong suckler herd and followers.
  • You will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day farm, general livestock duties, feeding TMR, calving (including nights), fencing, stock handling and other associated duties.
  • Daily maintenance of all livestock machinery.
  • Carry out general farm work to include grassland and arable operations during summer months.
  • Driver and operate farm machinery proficiently and safely.
Requirements for role:
  • Good tractor and telehandler skills.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and hard-working attitude is essential.
  • To be someone with a proven track record, experience in livestock husbandry, who is well-organised and keen to take on responsibility.
  • You must be self-motivated and able to work on your own as well as within a team.
  • A full UK Driving Licence is required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our agricultural and utility contracting enterprise for a Yard Operative. FGS Agri, part of the Heathcote Holdings group, is an integrated business supplying the needs of the agriculture and utility sector across the South East. You will be working with a range of modern machinery alongside a hardworking, friendly and professional team. Responsibilities: Yard Maintenance:
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the yard.
  • Ensuring that tools, machinery, and equipment are stored properly.
  • Assist with unloading, stacking, and organising agricultural materials, such as hay/ straw, fertilisers, and other products.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on plant and machinery, including regularly greasing machinery and fault identification.
Valeting and Cleaning of Vehicles/Equipment:
  • Thoroughly clean and wash agricultural machinery, vehicles, and equipment, including tractors, trailers, and harvesters, both inside and out to a high standard.
Requirements for role:
  • Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse, or agricultural environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of agricultural machinery and equipment is an advantage.
