FGS Agri, alongside our sister company, Habitat Regeneration, is pleased to announce a successful contract award from Forestry England. After some last-minute works for the Forestry Commission, FGS Agri was thrilled to win the contract for the responsible management of nine sites within Essex, focusing on preserving wildlife while ensuring safe access for the public.
Project Overview
This diverse project involved maintaining the delicate balance between public accessibility and wildlife conservation. Jobs included the careful cut and collect of wildflower meadows, preparation of grass meadows for wildflower drilling, path flailing, strimming, and hedge cutting around key areas such as car parks, signs, benches, and information boards.
Public Considerations
Despite the intensive nature of the works, FGS Agri was committed to preserving public convenience. All nine sites remained open to the public whilst work was underway, strategically scheduling work in the busier areas during off peak times. This allowed the public to enjoy the sites whilst the necessary conservation measures were undertaken.
To ensure the safety of the public, FGS Agri implemented stringent safety measures throughout the project. The use of banksman and clear signage played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our workers and the public.
In Summary…
The success of this contract not only highlights the expertise of FGS Agri and Habitat Regeneration in environmental conservation, but also sets a high standard for future initiatives. Contact the FGS Agri team today to discuss how we can assist with your woodland management requirements.
